Project Jacob

Grounded in the local coastal vernacular, the residence is a series of low-slung pavilions echoing the rugged shoreline. The form is defined by deep, sheltering eaves and honest materials, such as raw concrete and naturally aging native timber, blurring the boundary between shelter and site. Inside, dynamic spatial volumes compress and expand, guiding occupants from intimate enclosures out toward soaring spaces that completely open to the waterfront. This careful choreography of form and void evokes profound tranquility, creating a tactile sanctuary where the ocean's raw energy meets the warmth of the architecture.
